This has to be one of the best loved drives in southern Vermont! Perfect for car, motorcycle and bicycle alike.
Starting in Pawlet head North on Route 30 for 2.7 miles till you come to River Road (there is a state directional sign for Indian Hill Gallery), make a left onto River Road (paved road.)
Follow River Road to the end at 153 (1.5 miles)
Make a Left onto RT. 153 Follow for 1.8 miles to West Pawlet.
Make a Left at the stone marker in the center of West Pawlet and stay on RT. 153 South.
Follow RT. 153 South for 6.9 miles till it ends at RT 315 in East Rupert Vermont. Make a Left onto RT 315 East.
Follow RT 315 East for 5.7 miles (please note there is a large hill on this section that some on bicycles may find difficult… so be forewarned!)
RT 315 East dead-ends into RT 30, make a Right onto RT 30 North. Follow for 6.2 miles back Town of Pawlet.
Total Miles: 24.8
Be sure to take your time and enjoy the scenery as this is not a drive that should be rushed! Best time of day is late afternoon or early evening.
